Post Conference Prayer Day 4

Find Your Voice. . .Break the Chain

Prayer for Seattle Against Slavery

Information:
Seattle Against Slavery (SAS) is a grassroots coalition working to make a slave-free world, one city at a time. Uniting community-based abolition activists, local and national non-government organizations, government agencies, and other coalitions, SAS seeks to raise human trafficking awareness and mobilize the public to better advocate for victims, enhance survivor care, promote legislation to combat human trafficking, and help service providers build capacity. Their ultimate goal is to restore the dignity and value of all human beings by ending these demeaning and dehumanizing practices.

Whether the work is local or global, supporting survivor care or promoting new or stronger anti-trafficking laws, SAS seeks to connect individuals and organizations within the Greater Seattle area to create a vocal and effective community of abolitionists. SAS members have met with the U.S. Department of Justice’s Western Washington District's Criminal Enterprises Division, the Washington State Attorney General’s Office, King County Prosecuting Attorney's Office, Seattle Police Department, City of Seattle’s Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Prevention unit, and Washington Advisory Committee on Trafficking (WashACT). They collaborate with many NGOs with local, national, or international reach, including New Horizons Ministries, Not for Sale, and International Justice Mission. SAS also works closely with the Washington Anti-Trafficking Response Network (WARN) and the Washington Advisory Committee on Trafficking. Today and have hundreds of members, partnering with nearly all the organizations in the Puget Sound area that are actively fighting slavery and human trafficking.

Prayer Focus:
Ask the Lord to bless and prosper this organization and its coalition partners.  Ask for God's Hand of protection to be on all of the workers and that they would be encouraged daily as they press in against darkness.  Give the leaders wisdom as they make decisions.  May all people connected with SAS in any capacity see their need for Jesus and call out to Him.  May He be honored and glorified through this work.
